JOHN GRIMES SIDEBOARD BUFFET
Vintage buffet made in Melbourne by John Grimes Furniture. Timber veneer construction with beautiful wooden wave handles and tapered legs. Central cocktail cabinet with fold-down door. There is a glass shelf for inside this space, however I don't have any suitable shelf supports, so it's best used as an open storage space. Two slim drawers with dovetail joins in the middle, the right hand one is a felted cutlery drawer. And then large storage space at the bottom with a shelf on one side only.
Good condition, but shows signs of wear/use/age. As mentioned above, there are no shelf supports for the glass shelf inside the fold-down bar. All the top surfaces have marks/scuffs/stains and there's various small chips to the veneer throughout. One drawer has some stains inside and the John Grimes plaque has been painted over with glitter (it's kinda cute). Brand new felt in the cutlery drawer. Presents nicely regardless of flaws - it's a great piece from a quality maker.
