SUSTAINABILITY

WHY ARE WE HERE

We love vintage!
However that's not our sole motivation in this business. We also care deeply about the impact of our actions on planet Earth.

Buying secondhand is the most environmentally sustainable way to purchase furniture (or anything, for that matter). Globally, excess manufacturing and consumption is out of control and the resulting waste is immense. But we believe we can help make a difference.

Shopping vintage & supporting small business is the future.

"If it can't be reduced, reused, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, refinished, resold, recycled or composted, then it should be restricted, redesigned or removed from production." - Pete Seeger

WHAT WE'RE DOING

We salvage, repair & restore furniture in our pursuit of change. Giving new life to beautiful and timeless pieces that can be enjoyed forever.

Every purchase helps plant native trees across Australia through our partnership with One Tree Planted. Together we are working to promote biodiversity and protect native species, while restoring wildlife habitats and engaging local communities in conservation practices. $1 from each piece sold goes towards these projects.

Plastic-free shipping is where it's at!
All cardboard boxes are
minimum second use and we seal with paper tape, meaning that your packaging is fully recyclable. Our paper packing tape is compostable & recyclable and produced using vegetable-based adhesive (potato starch), soy-based ink and FSC certified paper. Box fill/stuffing is also non-plastic; recycled and recyclable.
We encourage you to reuse our shipping materials wherever possible, otherwise shred and add to your home compost, or toss the whole lot in your council recycling bin.
Furniture items sent with our interstate courier are wrapped in compostable pallet wrap made from food waste by the folks at Great Wrap. Pop it in your compost or council green bin.

Small items are shipped with Sendle and deliveries are 100% carbon offset.
