FLER SC55 ARMCHAIRS (UNRESTORED)
The FLER SC55 chair. Designed by Fred Lowen in 1955 and produced by FLER Australia until 1959. A true icon of Australian mid century design, these chairs are highly coveted (incredibly comfortable) and have been held in various museums around the country. A worthy investment piece.
Constructed of a welded steel frame with maple timber legs and paddle armrests. Steel sprung supports and high density foam cushions.
There are two available, price is per chair. To purchase multiple, update quantity in cart. (Orange chair is sold.)
IMPORTANT: These chairs are in original, unrestored condition. They require some work. Timber frames need complete restoration and the cushions need new upholstery and foam. One of the chairs has a snapped spring.
This is an opportunity to own a collectible piece of Australian design history and make them your own. (I can also help recommend local restorers/upholsterers.)
