HANSON TRANSISTOR CLOCK
Vintage plastic wall clock, made in the Republic of Ireland by Hanson. Fabulous retro vibes!! It has a transistor movement, which is quite unique. For a brief time, between mechanical clocks and the introduction of the Quartz movement, transistor clocks existed. It runs on a D battery, which periodically powers a small motor to keep the clock running. It does make a mechanical sound every time the motor kicks in, every 10 mins or so. And has a soft audible tick. Has a loop on the back for hanging. It's a sensational clock!!
Very good working condition. A few scuffs to the plastic face.
24cm diameter
